2007 was a landmark year for Musaic and we have much to be grateful for. In addition to our regular spring and Christmas Concert series, we were asked to return to perform in Danville, CA at St Timothy's Episcopal Church as part of their Community Concert Series. We performed at The Sequoias in Menlo Park, CA, where we were video taped and broadcast live to hundreds of residents at numerous senior care facilities. And we performed benefit concerts in San Francisco for the Curry Senior Center, providing health- and social-services for seniors in the tenderloin, and at SOMARTS Gallery for the opening of an international art exhibit - resulting in our first YouTube video. Additionally we were able to complete the recording and production of our new CD, Lyric Journey. We were interviewed and our CD was featured on KRCB radio. Our CDs were accepted and featured for sale at the Book Passages stores in Corte Madera and The Ferry Building in San Francisco.
As we grow, we find we have increasing regular costs such as rehearsal and concert venue rentals, music acquisition, concert promotion and marketing. to fund our expenses, we are looking to increase our base of donations, apply for various grants, and solicit corporate sponsorships. support these efforts, we are proud and pleased to have formed a Foundational board of some notable local friends:
- Chip Conley, CEO, Joie de Vivre Hospitality
- Carol Neblett, International Soprano
- Frances S. Petrocelli, Assistant Chancellor Emeritus, UCSF
- Charles B. Wilson, MD, DSc, MSHA, Founding Director, The Brain Tumor Research Center
We can't sustain our growth without more help. We need to build our Foundational board, contributions of financial support, ideas for community partnerships, new and commissioned music to perform, and professional skills and volunteers. Please call Musaic at (415) 552-6898, or email our business manager at to become part of our intimate musical family and share in the magnificent artistry of men's a cappella singing.
